It is one of if not the most durable dinosaur in the game, being able to take more than three hits from large carnivores and surviving.This is due to having no close relatives in game. Ankylosaurus is one of only three Herbivores whose friend dinosaur is their own species, the others being Gallimimus and Dryosaurus.

It behaves very much like Stegosaurus, so you might want to put them together. It can kill most large carnivore without getting very injured. They're slow moving dinosaurs and can get scared if there are too many dinosaurs around, it's easy to move with the muster tool so you can herd it into its enclosure without one running away. Ankylosaurus likes to live in valleys or plains and dine on ferns. Ankylosaurus are fond of being in herds to protect themselves, however, if you have many in a tight spot and something scares them, they bump into each other.
